Best of all, there are NO VEHICLES allowed on your beach and no nearby high-rise condos to spoil the magnificent views. That means you can enjoy Matanzas Inlet in its natural wonder, without man-made intrusions.

Designed for two or more families traveling together, this home’s ground floor contains a parking area for as many as six vehicles. The steps from the ground floor lead to a grand entrance to the main living area, which features a living room with plasma TV, DVD, and stereo sound system. The main floor also holds a grand room with a billiard table, a fully equipped  kitchen, a sizeable bedroom (with two full-size beds to sleep four) and a full bath. Also on this floor are the living room and dining area, decorated in a casual Florida style along with a marble fireplace for chilly evenings.

The second floor is just as impressive. It hosts the remaining four bedrooms, including the king-sized master bedroom with its own living room and private deck. You can rest on the master suite’s deck thanks to the table and chairs overlooking the beautiful intercoastal river. Three of the bedrooms have two full-size beds, which sleep two persons comfortably (for a total of four per room). In addition, each bedroom in this exquisite home has its own television and DVD player so that no one ever has to fight over the remote.

Matanzas Inlet is much more than a simple channel in Florida that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the south end of the Matanzas River. With rich Spanish and American histories, Matanzas Inlet is home to some of the most beautiful sites in Mother Nature, not to mention classical man-made architecture. That said, you’ll discover that some of the most gorgeous homes and condos of the southeastern U.S. is situated along Matanzas Inlet’s coastline.

Connected by a modern bridge on State Road A1A, Matanzas Inlet offers its residents privacy while maintaining convenience. It’s only 14 miles south of St. Augustine and three mins north of Marineland, and 15 mins from down town st. Today Fort Matanzas is part of the U.S. National Park Service so its history, and the wildlife which resides there, is fully protected for years to come.

Due to this being a sandy beach road that leads to the home, it is highly recommended to bring SUV'S, 4 wheel drive vehicles, trucks, vans. There can be an issue if you bring a vehicle that is low to the ground. Mother Nature is constantly changing this road which we have no control over.

Our Saint Augustine Florida Ocean Front Beach house is located at 9297 old A1A S, St Augustine, FL.

Please note this home is on a sand bar and is like a lighthouse in the water. The ocean air is corrosive to the exterior (we paint annually) and the windows get sand on them within days. The  pool is very over-sized and is solar powered so that it can even work in winter months but it the heat depends on the weather. If the above is acceptable, please inquire.

See rates below. Additional $325.00 end of stay cleaning fee. $500 refundable Security Deposit for up to 10 guests and $1000 Security Deposit for over 10 guests. Applicable state sales tax applies. Non-refundable Pet fee is $250 (each), tax is 10%.

Kayak Rentals 2 hour minimum: $10.00 per hour Four hour rate: $35.00 These kayaks depart from Devil's Elbow only and must not be transported away from the Intracoastal Waterway. An automobile must be left on property during the time of rental.
Inshore Charters/Nearshore Charters If you would like the convenience of hiring a local guide we will be happy to arrange this for you. We work with licensed captains only. Everything is included except for your food and/or drink. A half day trip (appx. 4-5 hrs) will cost you $350.00. This covers 3 people. An additional person may go along for an upcharge. Please be prepared to pay the captain by cash or check. Additionally, nearshore charters can also be arranged if you would like to catch tarpon or sharks. Please give as much notice as possible so that your schedule can be met. Thank you!

"WOW!  The best of BOTH WORLDS!  The wrap around porch allows you to watch the sunrises over the Atlantic and sunsets over the Intracoastal - the home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is definitely suited for large numbers - with the double ovens, HUGE refrigerator/freezer, double dishwashers and dining room tables for 20.  You don't find those amenities in many rental homes.  The beach is steps away - is dog friendly and basically deserted, so you feel you are literally on your own little piece of paradise.
Conveniently located with only a short drive to St. Augustine, the outlets, Vilano Beach and so many wonderful restaurants.  Marineland is located 2 minutes down the road for those who would like to go.
And a perfect dock to fish off in the Inlet when the tide is high, or, if you enjoy catching mullet, grab your net and walk around the Inlet with the other fishermen we enjoyed watching every day.
We definitely would return and rent this beautiful home!

"I totally love the house! It is probably the prettiest place I have EVER been to! Not only did I get an awesome view from wherever I was in the house, I got to play pool and ping pong and video games. Oh and the beach is not even 2 feet away! We got to fish right from our back yard! That was awesome! There is a TV in very room and the rooms are really nice. One of my fav things of the house is the gigantor fridge! Its huge! Probably the biggest fridge I have ever seen! We probably found more than 20 starfish, that would be my first time and its probably going to be the best! I absolutely love the house and hope to go back again! : )"
